I think CH is a fine enough Thor...I just thought the Thor movie blew hard (regardless of who was playing him). I expect the next one to be worse.

Other than RDJ who is essentially Tony Stark in real life, none of the actors cast were as perfectly suited for their roles as was Hemsworth. Hell...they even did a pretty good job of making his costume (which is the golden age comics is pretty tough to deal with) into something that looked utilitarian.
You may not like him as an actor or didn't like the movie...but the guy looked like Thor. Unlike the rest of them, he was actually the right size.

Seriously. This thread is nonsense. If there is a better actor out there to play Thor, I don't know who it is. Hemsworth is gigantic and despite being Australian, looks straight up Nordic. He's nearly 6'3", which is pretty tall for an actor, and whatever he's done to get into shape for the role, he's done it well. Of all the comic book hero stars, he looks most like a comic book hero because his proportions seem almost exaggerated.

I think Hemsworth is fine as Thor. But as far as alternatives go, I think Dustin Clare could have worked as long as you find a way to work around his height. (5'10")

I think helmets look stupid on actors who plays comic book heros. Just look at Captain America.

Thought Thor was the worst of the Marvel flicks. Just pump him full of Steroids. It's rampant in Hollywood anyway. Then he would look more like the Comics. He seems a little too lean.
