Yak fishing along LA-1

So I'm trying to go fishing in the morning in the kayak but I'm confused about where to go. Last time I went on LA-1 but was on the gulf side of the road, didn't catch. Anybody have some advice, I always see people launching on those two bridges between Fourchon and Grand Isle but I need to narrow it down from there. TIA

I've caught fish on both sides.
Gonna be a falling tide early I think. Find points where the water is moving. There will be fish

Find a calm spot out of the wind and harass it with some topwater if you're out there early enough. Not exactly sure of the spots, but like Hoss said, the fish are there and they'll be cruising the points while they move with the falling tide.

Use the Fourchon public launch, head north. Plenty of marsh for reds and some oyster beds and sand flats for trout.

When u get off the bridge headtoward grand isle. Go about a mile. Launch right before the first camp in the left. That marsh has always been good to me for reds. I never launch at the bridges. Too much competition. I like being alone.

I also love launchign at the bridges. Gotta be fast and in shape to get away from the competition

Also, there are a lot of spots right off old Hwy 1 (take a right at Morans coming off the bridge)
I am partial to the second bridge going into G.I., south side. But if the tide isn't right, it will be a ghost town.
You should also be able to find school trout under birds now in the bays; the lagoon behind Elmer's is a good spot for that. And if you're kayak can handle it, the trout should be on the beaches by now!
