Has anyone on the board seen this? Watched it today and found out the guy it is about is having his claims about his experiences challenged by reporters. The scenes in the film seem pretty detailed to be made up. Any thoughts?

Dominic Cooper gives a very strong performance that seemed to go unnoticed in that movie.

Agreed. I was pissed at him and felt sorry for him all in the same movie. Not easy to accomplish for an actor.

No doubt he nails not seeming to be the same guy at all. That was a crazy situation that very easily could have been true then and there. Uday Hussein was an evil SOB if that book is true.

Even if the book is bunk, it is pretty well documented that Uday was one sick dude. When someone like Saddam has to take a step back and say-"jeez my kid is crazy, maybe I need to either kill him or imprison him." You know he has problems.

good movie. If anything, I bet the real life occurrences were much crazier than those shown in the movie. Uday was a piece of shite with an immense amount of power.

I thought the movie was fascinating and Cooper's performance was terrific.

Wasn't Uday the one who would feed people feet first through a woodchipper?

I have read that as well. However his exploits of sadistically torturing Iraq athletes for non performance is widely known.

Between the two brothers, I know both were viciously sadistic, but forgot which one was infamous for the rape rooms and which one was infamous for the brutal killings.
