Primos aren't too bad I got three on clearance last year and they have been worth it. They went all season on one set of batteries.
8AA per and the pics were good day and night. I was a little worried because all the reviews said they suck. I either got the only three good ones made or only idiots who don't read the setup directions post reviews.

I have two different moultrie cameras. One that has a flash and takes D batteries. Ive tried every brand from Radio Shack to Energizer and Duracell. The camera eats batteries quick so I dont recommend one of these cameras unless you own a battery distribution center.

IR camera I have takes the AA. Its awesome and will go a few months on one set.
