6 keeper roto league

Send Longoria
Receive Stanton and Ryan Zimmerman

I have Miggy, Longo and Lawrie at 3B
I have Holliday, Ellsbury, Granderson and Carpenter at the OF(3 spots)

Seems like a good deal long term even though Longo is raking so far this season and Stanton is hurt. I feel like Longo will get hurt sooner rather than later, too.

I could use done other opinions though.

What do you think?

Da frick

Stanton is the most overrated fantasy player on the planet. HR yes. No RBI or R opportunities. Basically a lesser version of E5

Strongly disagree, individually

But if I'm getting Zimm too then I'm doing it

Any other opinions?

I'm leaning toward accepting the trade as of now.

In a long term keeper it's a no brainer - Stanton is without doubt the better player.

Not too sure about that, especially ifStanton is stuck in MIA. They won't be good for awhile. Runs and RBI will be limited.

Longo has proven he can score 100, hit 30 bombs and drive in 100 while hitting close to 300. Rays have some good hitters as well as Myers sometime soon. Plus he's only 27.

Now if Stanton goes to Boston or Texas or Wrigley then it may be a different story.

Stanton will be moved within 2 years and will be the top power hitter in the league.

Lets hope so b/c I accepted the trade.

The potential was too good to pass up.

Maybe.

It's all about the numbers too me. Stanton is the sexy name but gets too much hype. For example:

Take 75/37/86/970 with 4 SBs and people go bananas over a guy because he hits the ball far and is always on ESPN and he changed his name. Top 10 fantasy pick, yet is still in a big park with limited opportunities to drive in runs and score runs.

Or take 93/42/110/941 with 10 SBs like an E5 and people are like waitwut who is that guy let me draft him in the 4th round. Yet he's in a hitters park with talent all around him.

What im saying is, Play the numbers not the name. yes stanton has power. but the dude is put on a pedastal. and miami is trying to build around him, so he may not Go anywhere.

Longoria > Stanton until he goes somewhere else, if be even does

It was a good trade to accept because he was also getting Zimmerman.

Stanton is also younger and despite his current spot on the dl. He does not yet have the injury track record of Longoria.

If Stanton is healthy, then this is a fair swap. Adding zim makes this a great trade for the op.

The trade is a no brainer. We were discussing 31's Stanton>>>> Longo

Stanton's missed 55 out of the last 198

28% of his teams games

Hamstrung too

So idk

I assumed this was a long term keeper league. In which case I'd take Stanton in a millisecond. Don't even think about it.

It was a little extreme to have >>>>>>.

Like I said, I would probably put them about equal.

I like Longo more than Stanton.

Longo has Stanton best in 4 of 5 standard batting categories. And it's not like Longo is old

How is Stanton at maintaining hat possession though?

He's soft. No way he's willing to jump out of a helicopter like Longo.
