Missed on Gausman too.

A little different route, any advice on what to do with this team. Currently in 8th, but I feel like it's a good team. Be patient?

C: JP Arencibia (obvious weakness)
1B: Todd Frazier
2B: Chase Utley
SS: JJ Hardy
3B: Adrian Beltre
MI: Neil Walker
CI: Manny Machado
OF: McCutchen
OF: Heyward
OF: Cespedes
OF: Marte
UTIL: Beltran

BN: Lawrie
BN: Gardner
BN: Myers
BN: V-Mart

DL: Corey Hart

SP: Verlander
SP: Price
SP: Felix
SP: Dempster
SP: Hellickson
SP: Teheran
SP: Tillman
SP: McCallister
SP: Griffin
RP: Cishek
RP: Valverde

I'm dead last in saves, obviously. Guys like Myers and Teheran have a little more long term value because it's a keeper and can be kept at very low prices. But they may be lower run keepers on this squad anyhow...

its a solid team.

head 2 head league?

if so, I'd imagine you're losing some close matchups right? you look like you're one more top pitcher and getting better results from the catcher away from being that much better.

Marte is down these last few weeks... he will get hot again so that should also help. I'd be patient... but adding a SP or Catcher could be huge.

also. I have Cespedes as well, and he drives me crazy. so much power but needs to be more consistent at the plate.

Roto

Patience is kinda what I'm thinking too. Maybe make some smaller moves to bulk up SP, RP and MI.

Should I use my #3 waiver spot on Profar? He was just dropped.

Right now I currently have Omar Infante filling in for Kinsler at 2B.

I'd be dropping Arcia.

I hate to waste my #3 waiver spot... but with a few key players on DL and a few others currently slumping right now I need a spark somewhere.

If he was playing full time I'd say definitely, but the fact that Wash said he'll still be splitting time makes it more questionable.

Toss up for me.

Just got to remind yourself you are buying their end of the year numbers. I bought a monster mashing team in my roto and have been hovering in last with HR/RBI/OPS all year long... it does get quite frustrating.

The last time the rays had a player lead the team in saves in consecutive years was from 2004-2005.

Yeah, check for yourself. Go to the rays all time leaders for saves and sort by season or something. Would link, but I am on mobile.

Rodney
Farnsworth
Soriano
Howell
Percival
Reyes
Walker
Baez
Baez

Pretty remarkable stat. Part of the reason I stayed away from Rodney. I thought his success was a tad Flukish for whatever reason.

I've been holding onto Zito just bc I have the room on my roster, and have mainly just been starting him for home games.

Should I drop Zito and stash Peralta? My SP is stacked so its really no loss. I've basically been waiting for the right waiver move to come along to ditch Zito.

I just stashed Yasmani Grandal. He will be activated on the 28th I believe.

Montero is my current catcher and is a big disappointment this season so far. Grandal should step right in and split time for the Padres as catcher, and eventually will take the starting job back. Stash away if you can.

I had a feeling you would appreciate Grandal.

Both of our catchers are letting us down, so fingers crossed that Grandal will become a cheap fix for down the stretch.

Kevin Correia today vs. the Brewers.

I'm a little iffy since he's trending down after he had a decent April, but he had a killer schedule in May so far apart from the White Sox.

Look at the lineup he's going against today.

Norichika Aoki RF
Jean Segura SS
Carlos Gomez CF
Yuniesky Betancourt 3B
Jeff Bianchi 2B
Alex Gonzalez 1B
Logan Schafer LF
Martin Maldonado C
(Wily Peralta P)

Seems like a shitty move to make SWAM

I'd put it as a 6 out of 10 on the SOD scale. I don't like pitchers who don't bring K/9 with them, but that's a pretty shitty lineup to not get you a QS.

Meh, you cant be chasing QS on a Monday IMO. That lineup isn't that bad. Even guys like Betancourt, Maldanado, and Gonzalez can run into one. Aoki, Seguara, Gomez, are still there.
