I'll raise you a Wacha and hit you with a Nate Karns, the Nationals MiLB pitcher of the year. 2.70 ERA and 11 k/9 in 3 minor league seasons (216 IP).

Could be worth a look on the "watch list"

shite I'd hold JV in a 10 team league. You should be able to out together a good staff regardless. Verlander is just so consistent. Hameln has been all over the place this year and Lester has been up and down in his career as well. I'd stay put

Probably too late to add him anywhere but Julio Teheran is turning it around.

In May his Ks are down but so are his walks. He's learning how to pitch and command all of his other pitches, which has been a struggle of his. His K/BB rate is up 1.25. ERA down to 2.25 in May.

Jason Castro not a bad add if you need C help.

.286/.341/.482
6 HRs (as many as he had last year in 100+ fewer PAs)

Hitting .298 with 5 bombs in May.

Should I use my waiver spot on Rex Brothers? I need closers so this is a no brainer right?

Betancourt is now on the DL for a few weeks.

I'd say yes. Brothers may never give the job back.

Might be a good time to pounce on Hiro Nakajima if you need MI help. He's raking in the minors and Adam Rosales is terrible.

He hit 1 HR (before today) in the 1.5 months since you brought him up on this board

Good thing he scores so many runs on the NL's top offense with a high OBP and AVG. :notcasty:

You're not helping your case by posting an average 12 points lower than what it is to try and make your case seem better.

Classic.

ETA: #5 OF on Elias and ESPN.

quote:

Spin: Fowler has been on a tear as of late, as his average has risen to .292 on the year. In his last three games, he's 8-for-18 with six RBI and two stolen bases. He should continue to be a good source of runs scored, power, and speed atop the Rockies lineup. -Roto

Juan Francisco to MIL. Going to play 1B and some 3B. Could be a Pedro Alvarez type player if you need some POP

whats the skinny on rookie SP Jacob Turner from the marlins? obviously he won't get many wins bc miami sucks. Was that gem against the Mets for his MLB debut legit? don't know much about him.

also, what do think about adding Salvador Perez? I've been test driving different catchers for a few weeks now bc Montero sucks. Right now I'm giving Grandal a shot but he is slow going bc he just got back from suspension. Any other catcher suggestions? I was 15 minutes late at a chance to add Lucroy.

Turner wont K anyone. He's a "prospect" but is better real life pitcher than fantasy.

Eric Kratz is a sneaky catcher while Ruiz is out. Grandal wasnt even that good with steroids.

I don't know man. His numbers were pretty damn good as a rookie for just 60 games. but like you said... could be a testament to the roids. I'm just giving him a shot as my catcher anyways... i'm desperate.

thanks for the heads up on Kratz though.
