This little dude hit a Super Spook topwater yesterday that was bigger than him. Would have been great for a saltwater tank.
I also caught a red with bright blue all over the end of his tail. I've heard his means they are aggressively feeding, but I'm not sure. Anyone know what's up with this? It looked awesome BTW.

I caught many with blue tint on tails in Cocodrie. I heard it had to do with the salinity of the water. Just what I was told.
Where were you fishing?

Nice hoist!
I always associated the light blue tail with fish in low salinity.

Due to the bluish tint of the cyanobacteria (algae) in the water. It works it's way up the foodchain through the herbivores (shrimp) and into the body of the redfish. The color is expressed (shown) through the tail as this is where the chemical somehow gets located.

Nice hoist there. I used to catch little flounder in my cast net from time to time. Always wished I had a SW tank to put them in.
