Klingons in the new Star Trek Movie

As some who saw the DVD/ Blu-Ray extras saw. A chunk of the first movie involving Klingons was taken out.
Abrahms was going with the Klingon lore from the show Enterprise, in which for a time, a genetic virus wiped out genetic features in Klingons, like their ridges.
As seen in TOS
But a hundred years prior the First contacted Klingon (Deebo from Friday) was normal
And it was explained that in the future, Klingons have no ridges (DS9, tribbles episode)
So Abhrams decided to not show the Klingon faces in his movie, as to keep the continuity of Enterprise/DS9.
Even though the scene made sense it was cut from the first movie.
I had no idea Nero was in prison for 20 years, in the past.
Here is the deleted scene if you haven't seen it.
But for the newest movie, he went in a new-old direction.
Klingons with ridges.

Have you seen Enterprise? They address why the ridges were lost on TOS.
The Worf comment on DS9 on the tribbles ep was classic though

"We... don't like to discuss it with outsiders."
That whole episode was full of win.

That's exactly what I said when I saw the deleted scene.
I was wondering what he did for 20 years. Just sit and wait for Spock? Now we sorta know.
I also didn't like the Kilngons with helmets, though also saw they used Helmets, as many were kids and they did it to make the sets look huge.

No different than being a fan of GOT so much that your avatar on a major sports forum is Roose Bolton.

How did Klingons capture his super ship when his super ship destroyed like 200 federation ships w/ ease.
