Why doesn't Lafayette or St. Landry Parish have an Alumni Chapter?

Seems like there is a strong enough concentration of Alumni in that area to get one started.

Mee-Maw Blank-O and Coarch Bunco probably passed an ordinance against it when she was Guv'u'nuh'ness.

Organizing a chapter is a lot of work. It requires more than heavy drinking.

Because so many people from St Landry Parish used LSU as a way to get out of living in St Landry Parish.

Because the little brother complex is strong in these parts. Never seen so much penis envy before moving to Lafayette.

Having an alumni club is cool when you live far away from BR/Louisiana and fans are harder to find.

Proximity to BR. Generally alums congregate to watch games with fellow fans or get together to swap nostalgic stories and drink. Oh yeah and raise $ for their "scholarship" programs. People in St. Landry Parish and Lafayette Parish just drive to BR to watch the games or walk into their neighbor's outdoor kitchen to reminisce about their glory days.

If you are interested, let me know. I would love to restart an Alumni Chapter in this area.

I am in fact having lunch today with a couple of Alums in the area who may be interested in helping along.

Email me at JasonR@lsualumni.org and we can start the process. But as someone said, its not all fun and games and easy, there is some work that has to be done to get the chapter started and keep it active. I am here to help in anyway possible.
