Mauck was gone and it was JaMarcus' first start. Marcus Randall had to bail JR out on that game.
Wasn't pretty. Plus there was a monsoon right before kickoff.

The missed XP game
Opening game of the season after the NC in what had to be the worst weather I've ever seen for LSU game, that I've been to at least.
That whole year was pretty frustrating. Basically had to bounce back and forth from mistake prone and out of shape true freshman Jamarcus or live with Marcus Randall, who was basically a less athletic Jordan Jefferson, although he wasn't as dumb or thuggish
