I thought you've said Mj was the GOAT before
And always will. I don't really care what Bron does from here-out.
That's so fricking ignorant Peej
If he wins the MVP for the next 5 years and wins the Finals and Finals MVP and scoring leader and Defensive MVP.
Not saying it will happen but you can't just dismiss a player and say "I don't care what he does"
When you say that you can't be taken seriously

True, and I usually don't start them. Although I posted an item that was on ESPN.
Although, they do get interesting

I'm a big MJ guy, but I've always respected LB's game and love to watch him(although I've bashed him in the past, I will admit as well). He'll definitely be up there when it's all said and done.

Lebron is on pace to be the second greatest ever IMO. Jordan is just marginally more efficient and successful.
How do you expect people to take your post serious when you say something like this? Did you watch basketball this year? Lebron's season this year rivals Jordan's 88-89 season as one of the most efficient seasons ever.

Look at them over the course of the careers. Jordan is marginally more efficient. I am not just looking at this one season.
Jordan has had multiple seasons that at least rival or maybe are even better than Lebron 2012-2013.
It seems like your reading comprehension and overly assuming nature are what is at fault.

Such a pathetic argument.

Insofar as Shel's argument that Jordan's career PER is higher than LeBron that's a silly argument. And I'm disappointed. LeBron's rookie season kills his career PER in an unfair manner. Prime for Prime their production is basically the same, whether you look at PER or WS/48 (which I VASTLY prefer).

I know. Both of them have had quite a few disgustingly good seasons.

But it's all irrelevant to the main premise that it's close, you can argue it either way, but to chastise a guy for saying MJ is marginally more efficient is silly.

Exactly. I was saying the same thing with my post about Jordan having similarly great years compared to Lebron's current fantastic season.

Yup. He shot like 41% or something horrid in his penultimate season.
I do not like discounting years. Jordan should get a little bump for having a better rookie season. Then again, Jordan was 21 and Lebron had a little better WS/48 by his third season. You have to include their whole careers. Why exclude more data? No reason to be selective.
Random interesting thought about WS/48:
Both players starting leading the league in this stat in their age 24 seasons.
Jordan proceeded to lead the league for the next eight full seasons through age 33 (obviously, his shortened 1994-1995 was not league leading.
How long do you think Lebron can lead the league in WS/48? Age 33 sounds about right to me.

SOO.. It appears LeBron got 120 out of 121 1st place votes.. With Carmelo getting the only other vote.
Posted on 5/5/13 at 3:18 pm to TigerMan327
Whoever voted for Melo is a jackass.

No, he could win the next 6 championships in a row and people will still say Jordan is better, because of the "good ole days" nostalgia.
It's hardly nostalgia. The 1990s was the best and most competitive era of basketball. Today's game pales in comparison. Almost every other sport is better -- sans boxing -- but the 1990s was the pinnacle -- thus far -- of the game of basketball.
