Currently looking at dell ultrasharp 2713

I would prefer to have the bigger 27", but do smaller 22/23" monitors have superior resolutions? If so, is it anything noticeable or should I just go with the larger size?

Edit: When I got it the price was $270 a couple weeks ago.

My resolution is 1080 and it's a 23" screen which looks great. A lot of people have 1440p 27" monitors. All I can tell you is what I have which I have been very happy with.

Same here, happy with it for now. What you don't know you don't miss.

I'm scared to look at 1440p for that reason .
It's kind of like the first time you see the difference between console and pc graphics, there's no going back...

That's a pretty high price for a non-IPS or 120hz monitor

Not for a name brand it's not. I refuse to spend a bunch of money on off brand stuff then pray that it holds up.

This is what I got. Absolutely great monitor. Seems that it is the same as what Blue was recommending in the Korean monitor.

I picked Monoprice since it is an American monitor and I am a xenophobe. (not to mention a warranty etc)

It's actually the exact same as the korean ones, but rebranded to monoprice

Yep, absolutely great monitor. I was close to pulling the trigger on the Korean one but decided to go with Monoprice just because of the warranty and my American Express extends the warranty even more.

what is the general opinion of 1080 vs 1200 and 1440 vs 1600?

ha thanks. I was asking more of how big the difference is between 1080 and 1200? is the aspect ratio different? Isn't it 1920 x 1200?

Yea it's 16:10, so a little more square than 1920x1080.

I have no experience with it, but I'd assume it's not that much different.

1080 to 1440 is a huge jump, though.

wider? wouldn't it be more squared? I just wonder if there is any real advantage to the field of view vs the other.
