First of all, I live in Houston...and I see all LSU home games just fine.

Well then that doesn't apply to you and purpleandgold86, I'm just refering in general to those saying this game is necessary so that our Houston alumni can get a chance to see LSU, although yall will probably defend that too.

frick no I wouldn't agree with that!

20 years of having season tickets, and 8 years of drving from Houston. I consider a game like this to be a "gift", for lack of a better word. Just one weekend of the season I won't have to load up the kids and tailgating gear. If it doesn't happen...oh well. I'll smile on the road trip back home like I do for every other game.

I haven't seen a single person say that yet. That is pretty pussy too. I don't think LSU owes anyone anything when creating a schedule. They should look out for what is best for the program. Playing a game in front of a primetime national television audience in a recruiting hotbed in a city that has one of the biggest alumni bases outside of Louisiana probably benefits the program in some way shape or form.

This game is necessary to continue to build and develop our recruiting in Texas, particularly in the Houston area. Houston area has given us many good recruits. Plus it would be nice to steal a few kids away from the grasps of A&M.
