For me it's during NHL playoffs then start back following in September casually. Only watch playoff games, due to CFB and NFL

I stopped following after I lost respect for the players and owners.

Loaded bats, loaded players, cheating, overpriced tickets, pervasive greed. Then they forced my Astros into the AL and paid off the owner to do so. My favorite players, ones I looked up to as a kid, began to retire....Biggio, Larkin, Glavine, Maddux. No one really came along to replace them.

All the big names of recent...ARod, McGwire, Bonds, Palmeiro, Braun, Hamilton, Clemens...I wouldn't want any kid to look up to.

I only follow it by getting Braves updates on my phone, other than that it's if I so happen to see SportsCenter highlights

It's hard for me to care in September unless there is a close division race. Baseball really needs to be having playoffs and the World Series before football really kicks into gear.

I am probably about done following it...and it is MLB's fault.

I have followed the Astros religiously since 1980. Now they have a crappy TV deal and I can't see them in BR.

Here is the part that pisses me off though. I would gladly subscribe to MLB.tv or something like that where I would pay to get the games on my computer. However, the Astros are blacked out in Baton Rouge. What kind of ignorant bullshite is that? I am a fan...I am willing to pay a monthly fee to see my team...but can't.

Congrats, MLB. You are slowly losing a fan. Since I can't follow the Astros closely and I can't watch the games, I will have no idea who the players are and by the end of the year, I really won't give a shite any longer...I will have found other things to follow.

then you would have stopped caring well before this:

forced my Astros into the AL and paid off the owner to do so

quote:

Biggio

he's been replaced. Carlos Quinten.

Oh and even as a cubs fan (we were eliminated on opening day) i'll watch all season.

When the Braves miss the playoffs/ choke in the first round. I haven't watched a World Series in 6 or 7 years. Hopefully this year will be different.

talkig about you stopping watching baseball is boring...i agree. Just pointing out the inconsitencies in your logic.

the better way to say that woudl have been "i stopped watching after the atros stopped being good"

When they cancel the end of the season and the World Series. So it has been since 1994 that I have stopped following MLB other than casually.
