This is the issue. We don't have 'permits' here in LA except for CC. Most people would like to open carry and/or transport without having to obtain a permit.

1. Move to AL.
2. Contact your new state legislators/run for office yourself.
3. Change law.

I hate MA gun laws but it does me no good to complain from another state.

I have a CCW in AL and it specifies it can be carried in a vehicle,fully loaded as long as it's not on open display.It still must be concealed in the vehicle.My 1911 stays between the driver and passenger front seats.Unless you're advertising it,you should be okay.
