My buddy has one and I cut the shite out of some sawgrass to brush a blind with last year. Worked real well actually.

Looks cheap enough to me. If you have access to a Harbor Freight you can go buy machetes from them for $6. At that price that makes them disposable for me.

My FIL got one as a Christmas gift. Soon after "registering" he got a letter in the mail to send it back, there was a recall on them for the blade snapping off at the handle.

The blade is only 9.3 inches long. I wonder if it would be good to cut seasonings?

Price wise, it's a good deal, but if it were me, I'd buy the $6 machetes or the ditch blade pictured a few posts earlier.
