Yea he's still getting paid. I mean Revis new contract with the Bucs had no guaranteed money, but he's making $16 mill. Guaranteed money is money the player receives from the team no matter what. If you suck, never play, get hurt, etc you still get the guaranteed money. TM will still get paid. But if he fails a drug test and goes back in rehab or leaves the team or something of that nature, the team doesn't owe him any money.

Most teams sign players with a history of being in trouble to contracts that have no guaranteed money.
