I don't think they got screwed today. It was going to be difficult to get the Kings to Seattle if there were buyers willing to keep them in Sac. I'm sure it feels like getting screwed though because the process is different from when the Sonics were stolen.

And yes I think they continue to go for a team. Hansen group is legit and I'm sure they realized this was always a possibility.

wow didn't see this coming but it was the right thing to do a local ownership wanted to keep the team in sacramento and had the finances to do it

Yeah, but Ballmer was willing to buy the team to keep them in Seattle when they were threatening to move them to OKC and got denied. It just reeks of Stern.

Good point. Hansen and Ballmer are too smart to put all of their eggs in one basket. They're about $100 million into this already.
