If you don't have plans for tonight then make your way out to Service Industry Night at Zephyr Field. With a $5 wrist band you can get $1 beers and $1 hot dogs all night. Gates open at 5:30 with first pitch at 7pm.
Lots of beer to be drank

Does anyone actually go to those games, in general? I have seen a couple on TV...just passing through the channels...and the place seems empty.

Hell of a discount considering their normal prices. I was there last weekend and burger was $10 and a fricking hotdog was $8

I go 3-4 times a year and there's usually a decent crowd when I go.

Their website says Senior Citizen night and mentions none of this

I really wish they would have built it somewhere in New Orleans proper. I feel like they're missing a lot of potential fans just because of the location of the park. I know that's a lot to ask, but it's hard to justify driving all the way out to Mettry for it, IMO.

does that include a tic to the game or is that separate?

Where do you live? I live in the CBD and it is like a 15 minute drive on Earhart. Uptown is just as easy.
Metairie isn't really 'all the way out there' if you ask me. In BR it takes that long to get from Nicholson to perkins

Well I used to live uptown, I live in BR now. Maybe I'm just lazy or maybe I just hate Airline Highway so much, but I could never get the motivation to make it to a game.

Where else in the city would be a good spot. Out east would be even further for most of the area.

Omaha Storm Chasers are in town too which means three players with ties to LSU/New Orleans will be on the field:
Louis Coleman
Ryan Verdugo
Johnny Giavotella

Hell, when i lived in Thibodaux, we'd go to a dozen games a year. It's always fun, usually some good baseball. Bonus if you catch a guy doing a rehab start, or some former Tigers.

That was my caveat. There isn't really a good spot in the city, that's why it's unfortunate.
