Lennon/McCartney/Harrison were/are excellent songwriters. None of the Beatles were good singers or musicians.
Nirvana, musically, was nothing special at all. No better than most garage/bar bands doing the same type of music.
Radiohead makes sounds, not music. Two different things.

I know its an opinion but I got to argue this: Nirvana heavily influenced the alternative rock landscape of the 90s and made alt rock/grunge popular. They did make pretty simple songs though. But I havent heard any bar/garage band create the songs that Nirvana has. I think Nirvana was pretty special at the time but again this is MO.
