Les Miles should appoint a Conduct Supervisor

I've been to every bar in Tigerland and downtown Baton Rouge. It can get pretty rough compared to other bars around the areas. With Les being a players coach and allowing his players a lot of freedom, does anybody think that Les should appoint a supervisor that goes with the players or put out a curfew even in off season? Not mandatory rules, but if you ever played an organized sport there was always "optional" things that you had to do.

I'd expect players to act more appropriately on their own.

It has nothing to do with supervision.
It has to do with the decisions that Miles himself makes, and the types of attitudes that he himself encourages. If that's the root of the problem, and it is, then nobody reporting to Miles could possibly help solve the problem.

No, we don't need baby sitters. What Les needs to do is discipline Hill which I know he will. Make him feel the pain of his mistakes so he knows the consequences next time.

You're kidding, right?

This is about a million times as stupid as the proposition in the OP, which itself is pretty stupid.

Yeah, this has worked really well for him.

No, I'm not. He'll take care of this like he has with other players like RP, TM and others. JJ is the only real exception and I cannot explain that phenomenon at all.

You mean, he can be the good cop and hire someone to do his job, i.e. discipline his players and hold them accountable for their decisions. This crap will keep going on because Les' players have no fear that he is going to hold them accountable for their actions. In fact, quite the opposite is true. He will continue to make excuses for his players and try every way possible to avoid any real disciplinary action until he required to do so by the University, SEC or NCAA.

I think it's pretty obvious that players realize that Miles does the bare minimum necessary to put up a front for PR purposes, and if he had his druthers, would rather not punish them in any meaningful way at all.

It isn't obvious at all. Kicking thugs off the team isn't the bare minimum. Sounds like your opinion and pure conjecture.

Cecil will be getting out soon, he can help keep them in line.

It is not stupid, it is correct and our team has had a problem for quite a few years now. I'm not jumping to a conclusion here because somebody could have picked a fight with Hill, but we had a problem long before today.

What's so funny? How many drug test did Mathieu fail before he was suspended? He only only suspended him because of a University policy.
Additionally, the day Jefferson was indicted on a misdemeanor as opposed to a felony, he was back on the field.
It is pretty simple, his players clearly have no fear of being held accountable for their actions.

No, he should just be more strict.
