HE made the biggest mistake of anyone IMO.
He could have had his stock SKYROCKET after a great year at LT next season. Now he will have to fight very hard to make a roster and earn a crappy contract (in comparison to a 1st/2nd rounder).

That is a bit dramatic. Pre-injury he was considered 1st round talent. Why not get payed to rehab that knee? Hell, if make league minimum he will still be paid quite wel.

Could being the key word. If he was guaranteed to have a big year at LSU and go int the first, then he should have no problem making an NFL roster now.

That "crappy" contract will still earn him 7 figures and he gets paid an extra year and will be closer to his 2nd contract.
