Shut down Ace of the staff, work horse...
or 4 year starting SS with an incredible glove and a decent bat...

Nola The Younger is the obvious value pick here.
Staff aces are by far more valuable than top-notch shortstops.

I dk, we are spoiled since Bregs just stepped right in. But having a 4 year starter at one of your most important positions is huge

I read an article on Tulowitzki the other day that said he is the lone great SS in the league now that ARod and Jeter are declining; it went on to say how venerated the position is in MLB because it's so difficult to make those plays and just wrecks their bodies. If Big Nola could play SS in MLB the way played at LSU he would be very valuable to a team.
Bregman gonna get paid in 3 years.

It's a tough call. A pitcher like Aaron the way he's throwing right now will almost garuntee you a win but only once a week. A SS like Austin is out there everyday at the most difficult position on the diamond.

I'll take Aaron Nola and Bregman.

I would take Aaron Nola and the shortstop we have now. Bregman is better than Austin. Defensively Austin Nola had double digit errors 2 years in his LSU career. If Bregman can play even a knotch below Austin the Tigers will be fine because he is such a superior hitter to Austin.

I'm biased since I went to school with Austin but I'd take him.
One of the best defensive SS's ever at LSU, and people forget that last year he did have a .420 OBP.

I would take Aaron. It's always great to have a dominating pitcher. He is fresh off 3 straight complete games in the SEC(2 against top 10 teams). It's nice going into a weekend knowing you are almost guaranteed to win the 1st game.
And this is to take nothing away from Austin. He was a great SS for LSU.
