I wouldnt have a problem dealing Lopez if it made us better. But depth is actually a good thing.

We have a likely top 5 and plenty money to spend. Its not mandatory that we start dealing potentially really solid reserves away until we look like Portland with no bench at all.

I can't see us dealing Lopez unless we make a move that brings in a starting-quality center as his replacement.

We have Jason Smith and Louis Amundson on the roster, but both are backups rather than starters.


We'd need to pull off a trade for another center, draft one like Alex Len (ugh), or sign one such as Pekovic in order to make him expendable.
