If the Celtics are ready to move on, I'm pretty sure you could get Rondo for a package of the 1st pick, Rivers and maybe Lopez. I'd rather Bledsoe but it'd be a nice pick-up. Just not much they can do afterwards..

A high 1st and Rivers for Rondo would be tolerable, though I have character concerns about him. With his pouting, I don't see him handling a move from the Celtics to the Pelicans well.

Adding Lopez to that is not a good idea unless we've found a starting center elsewhere, as Davis won't be able to do it and Smith isn't cut out for that role full-time.

Samuel Dalembert??? He could be a good option for a year or two if we get rid of Lopez.

I like Bledsoe, i do. But I really think it would be a huge mistake to give up real assets for him plus give him a huge contract.

The guy can't shoot and he isn't a distributor. Almost every one of his positives come on the defensive end.

I understand the defensive angle in wanting him, but the extent to which a PG's defense actually changes the team has been really exaggerated imo. How much a team actually NEEDS an awesome defender at PG has been exaggerated as well.

I mean, what does it say about Bledsoe and CPs defense when they're getting torched by Conley? Point is, nobody's stopping the better PGs in the league. Nobody. The only reason Tony Allen is even in the league is for his defense and CP bent him over down the stretch.

Its just not worth it to me for Bledsoe to come here and be a minus on offense and do a slightly better job guarding elite PGs that nobody in the league can actually stop anyway.

With that said, i'd probably gamble on Bledsoe before I gave any money to Jennings. We know exactly who he is.
