Haha, I stayed out of this thread on purpose because I've sung the praises of Turnpike Troubadours enough on this board...but I can't believe you've never heard of them! They are my favorite band and are everything that is right about, not only country music, but music in general. Ev is a wonderful songwriter and their music feels authentic because it IS...they actually ARE just good ol' boys from rural Oklahoma. Not to mention the fact that they're some of the nicest,hardest working guys I know. They are the real deal. Also, give the Dirty River Boys a listen. They are more folky/Americana but they're great.
