Who is in favor of having more rules in place for the public land to reduce overcrowding, pretty much the question from the survey. I go back and forth, I am always leary of the Gov "helping" but if done right I think it could diff help some places.

What kind of rules are we talking about? I'm gonna be hunting public a lot more next season, so I'm open to discussion and change.

What is the biggest problem on public land and pressure on ducks? Ease of access or something else?

I would have to know what rules are being proposed first.

If they would have just made posting scouting reports on LA Sportsman illegal, my season may have actually been decent.

Crowding "good spots" I'm going to guess.

I would bet banning of mud motors would really weed out the non hardcore hunters...

Not only this, but also to many hunters in general. They don't have anywhere else to go but 150 yards away from other people, especially the ones that show up 10 minutes before shooting time.

Well I am asking bc I have only hunted a handful of public lands in the state. All have major overcrowding issues. The one and only option I can come up with I am not even sure I like it. Pretty much divide the area up into blocks or sections and have the hunters draw for them. Maybe do that with certain areas of the WMA then leave the rest open to everyone, similar to how they run Sherburne and the farms.

That would knock 80% of hunters probably more, hardcore or not.

Don't get me started on them. I had a guy pull in the middle of a canal I was huntin at daylight in a blue bass tracker anchor out in the dead center, throw out 3 decoys and proceed to sky blast.

Anyone serious about duck hunting needs to lease. There's nothing like it. I just couldn't enjoy waking up and not knowing IF I'd have a spot much less be crowded.

Get a couple buddies and go in on a 4 man blind.

I agree, but it's hard finding a lease that will be worth the money. 1500 is a lot to spend on a lease with no birds. Free is free regardless of what happens.
