They actually pinch the tails so 27 with a pinch would be illegal. Have they been biting on pearl fluke. We have been north of Adams bay mainly, I am positive alot of boats will be running south.

I don't fish that side of the Miss River. If I do I go with charter captain. After looking at the area depending on the rise and fall on the tide I would prob go a little north and fish some ponds. I def would if the wind was blowing NE.

If their is a redfish in the water it will strike a pearl fluke JR if presented the right way. Also depends on your casting abilities.

I mean it's an option but If your not familiar with throwing it or presenting it I wouldnt throw it unless the weren't hitting the usual lures/techniques.

I use a three foot mono leader with a non slip loop knot on the end. 2 inch J hook and Pearl White Fluke JR.

Fished from Port Sulphor to the Gulf twice and only managed 3 reds. Dirty water everywhere. Gonna be a tough trip.

I'm stuck offshore but I have some buddies fishing it who are running back to delacroix. They said that have 15 1/2 lbs all day long with a few 8's swimming around in their ponds. Good luck...

I fish it like a fluke, it has a action all in it's own. Just make it look like a little mullet zig zagging across the water. Keep it about two feet deep or less. I like to make it zig after it hits the water and then give it some quick jerks. When I see a red throwing wake or something boils the water I throw it infront or on top of it immediately.

I frequent the area and it does but I catch speckle trout and white trout out there mostly. I have caught some reds but not nearly as many as Hope Dale area, that place is a redfish super zone.

I am thinking about fishing the kayak IFA on Sunday. Have only fished down Hwy 23 a couple times and struck out both times. Any ideas for some close marsh fishing for reds/specks?

How is East Pointe a la Hache this time of year? All the reports seem to suggest it is more of a winter spot, but on paper it looks close enough to the outside bays to be productive now too

Does not compute... Delta Marina maybe?
If so, I called them two weeks ago to get a room for this and is was sold out. I'm staying at Empire Inn right up the street.

Gonna be a great time, weather should be perfect by the looks of it. I believe it's going to take 15+ to cash a check with these conditions. Hope I'm in that number... We'll see on Saturday

What length would y'all consider a trophy red on heavy spinning gear and live bait?

A serious bull would be a trophy...I would never mount a red though
