Saint Arnold Brown

First off, I am not a beer drinking. I've never liked the taste of Bud Light, Miller, Coors, etc...
I've recently started to try and make myself like different types of the flavored beer like Abita Strawberry.
This weekend I picked up a 6 pack of Saint Arnold Brown.
I have to say it isn't as strong as I thought it would be and I could actually taste a hint of chocolate in it like the label said. The after taste is usually what does it for me with most beer but this one actually had a milder taste compared to Bud Light, etc. Think I will be giving more of these a shot as I try to broaden my drinking horizons from hard liquor

I haven't had that one. Where'd you pick it up? BR?

Rousses in Thibodaux, they had 3/4 different types.
Since I am trying different things I figured why not. Also picked up Redds Apple Ale and a 5th of Jack Daniels Honey
Almost picked up something called Shipyard Ale

Redds Apple Ale wasn't bad, tasted like Apple Cider
Jack is just a sitting right now, hasn't been opened

best advice for use of JD Honey: mix with soy sauce then marinate ribeyes in it for 10 min. then pat dry then rub with olive oil then grill.

It isn't something over powering to me, I could taste a hint of it in the after taste really

I prefer NOLA brown to St Arnolds Brown
I prefer Independence Bootlegger Brown over both

SA Brown is merely ok. Their limited release beers is where they shine.

I would imagine the only one I could get would be St Arnolds, but I will look for Independence.

Saint Arnold makes some excellent beers, but yes their seasonals and limited releases are where they shine. Some of my favs have been bishops barrel 1 & 2, divine 13 (never tried the others), pumpkinator, and their spring bock.

Their brown is excellent. I also really enjoy their amber, blows abita amber away. The brown isn't avalible in the BR area.
