One Last Mock Draft

1. Jarvis Jones, GA, OLB. Neither of the three tackles will fall, but Jones will squeak by and land in our laps at 15. Fits an obvious need having only one true 34 OLB on the roster. (I'm aware Galette and Wilson project there, but they've never played the position. They very well could be the next LT's, but who knows.) Jones would solidify one of the 34 OLB spots for years to come and provide that gamechanging ability we have lacked since 09.
3. Tyrann Mathieu, LSU, CB. I know, i know. I can feel you rolling your eyes already. But no one can deny his true game changing ability both on defense and special teams. He would be a day 1 contributor in both areas and would bring a spark that this team severely lacks.
4. TJ McDonald, USC, S. This pick is to bolster what was an absolutely pitiful passing defense last year.
5. AJ Klein, Iowa State, ILB. While we have Lofton, Hawthorne, and Vilma there, I'm not overly sold on Hawthorne or Vilma being able to stay healthy. I hope we take an ILB at some point this draft for at the very least depth, and he's experienced in the 34.
6. Jordan Mills, LA Tech, OT. Typical small school pickup that fills a depth need at OT.

I sure hope a tackle falls though. I know we need help on defense but any of those three tackles are starters for many years to come. If not, I like Jones or Richardson at 15.

I think Jones is a great value there. I don't think any of the tackles fall either. I like our guys but I would be content with Jones. To quote gruden "he's a football player." I could see us using all 4 at once in some instances which would be legit.

Locker room guys. No way they take Mathieu with all the circus bullshite that comes along with him.

I also think that if Sheldon Richardson falls, we will strongly consider taking him.

No eye rolling here. He's a play maker no doubt. But hasn't he expressed that he wants far away from Baton Rouge? I think he would stand out on special teams big time.

I would actually really like to. He would have been my 2nd round pick, but i honestly doubt he makes it out of the top 50 or 60.
