I'm heading to the bend Monday, never fished it before (truth)
And I am bringing all I own. Just looking for an idea of what the OB benders like to fish there.
I'm bringing a load of spinners and senkos.

Fishing from Monday till Thursday.

Leaving today, been there since Wednesday. That front that came through gave them lockjaw for the most part. Ended up with ab 40 keepers for the 5 days with 3 over 4 lbs. All keepers were caught for the most part on baby brush hogs, split tail grubs both in watermelon red and rogues with a few coming on ribbits and pop Rs early. We were fishing out of lanaina all weekend. Heard they did alright down at Housen and Indian Mound which both have a good bit of grass now. Good luck to ya

This year Watermelon Seed has worked better than watermelon red.

We've caught the majority of our bass this spring on flukes and ultravibe speed worms.

Not a good time for spinners. Weightless plastic of your choice. April means whacky worm for me.

Underrated producer I April is blue backed Rogue. Fish in open water flats and over humps.

Bad arse worm right here, light tx.
I havent been to Toledo since mid March, but typically this time of year it I would focus on plastics mainly, with some faster stuff in the morning, and late in the afternoon. Good luck, post a report when you get back.

BTW, just got some killer The White Perch reports. If you have any interest in that at all, try jigs/roadrunners shallow, especially on grass lines and docks.

This is the only fish we caught on 1.5 hours of fishing blind.
We launched at Sabine River Authority Park. Have no idea where to go.
