You think someone will give him max or near max?

Isn't he expected to get paid in the $8 - $10 million range? I see him as one of those positionless guys with an incomplete game. Dominating the ball coming off the bench he might come close to earning his money, being a highly paid complimentary starter just isn't his game. He either needs to shoot better or create for others better to fit that role. One caveat to that is he did up his 3P% quite a bit this season to almost 34%. If he could keep improving that to 37% or higher then I could see him working out as a starter.

No way GSW makes a deal like that. After the year they had, I don't see them going backwards. No way they're giving up BOTH Thompson and Barnes. Most likely, the only guy they're considering to move is Thompson and that is going to tough considering that they really value him.

If that's it, I would swap him for Gordon without a doubt.

It's tough to tell much about him with how terrible the Kings organization, coaching, and roster construction have been. He's a flawed player, but he's still good. Will he get better in a functional organization (btw so nice to type that after the last few years)?

Evans can't hit the 3 or get to the line like Gordon, but he is a better rebounder and passer. They seem to be fairly similar players and the Hornets get to save money and dump a guy who's been a headache.

Here's what I see if they are thinking about this:

They can still move Vasquez/Lopez if they want. They can still draft BPA. And they have more cap space to fill roster holes.

That said, your GS deal for Gordon looks nice too. Thompson/Barnes/Davis/Anderson is a VERY interesting core. Need a creator, but that should be easy to fins with those options all over the court. And banking on bad luck for the Warriors is always smart.

Sidenote- Thompson and Anderson both shot over 38% from 3 on over 6 3PA/game this season. Only been about 25 guys in NBA history who have done that
