Who still buys the physical album (CD's, vinyl...)?

Even though they are becoming extinct I still buy them for bands I love. I enjoy owning a physical copy of the music and looking through the liner notes and such. Plus a CD or record just sounds better.
Have you switched completely over to digital or do you still buy a physical album every now and then for a band you love?

Lots of people buy vinyl. No one buys CDs.
Vinyl might, but CDs have crap sound quality.

Big time. Worse sound quality than digital, and dont have the nostalgia of records to keep people buying them.

I do. I like having the inserts and shite.

I buy CD's for my favorite bands. I love my record shop and want to give them business.

I'm not a technophile but CD's are digital aren't they?

Im not either. CDs are digital, but there are different levels of digital sound quality. I think you can match MP3 quality on CDs but not FLAC or Lossless.

I think you have that backwards. CD quality is greater than MP3 b/c of compression of MP3.
Older artists CD's may have lower sound quality off a CD b/c of the recordings from analog. 'AAD' vs 'DDD' where it's recorded digitally.
Either way, yes I still buy CD's.

Nah man, a CD sounds better than an Mp3. MP3 are a compressed format, anytime you compress a song you will lose some of the sound. Hence the reason why FLAC files exist so people can have an MP3 that sounds similar to a CD in quality.

I still buy a fair amount of CDS... some vinyl here and there...
I very rarely, if ever, do digital downloads..

I bought a CD this morning and still buy them fairly frequently. But the ones I buy are cheap and used though in good condition. Most of the music I buy is 10 year old or more so this works out pretty well.
And people who think CD sound quality is crappy and buy vinyl -
. I listened to vinyl for a long time and there is a reason that CD's killed them off.

Vinyl doesn't sound "better" it is just different. With certain music it really adds to the experience.
For example, Blues sounds great on vinyl.
I recently bought some new records on vinyl, Alabama Shakes, Neon Trees, Mumford and Sons, Arcade Fire.
Most of these also came with a digital download.
Plus my turntable has a cable and program to hook up to my computer and I can upload the music into iTunes keeping the vinyl sound. Something I think is pretty cool.
I got a Modest Mouse and Of Monsters and Men CD over Christmas. That is still my media source besides radio in my car, my iPod broke a while back and I've been living without for a while. Plus I hate searching for radio stations to hook up to my iPod through those stupid adapters.

I buy vinyl. CDs are just annoying.
The good thing about buying new vinyl albums is that they almost always come with a free digital download of the album.
