what is the accuracy range for 22lr rat shot?

got some for my little herritage revolver 4.75" barrel to pop snakes with when im on the river. whats the effictive range 5-6'? or do they just suck

I dropped pigeons from the rafters of the barn with rat shot. They were 15-20'.

I used to shoot rats from about 12ft away and was successful.

Just don't shoot a mockingbird with one from a rifle and hear your friends grand mow mow bitch at you

10-15' should give you a hit, though you might need more than one shot to kill.

sounds good.. as long as i could pop a snake on a limb at 6-10' effectively i should be fine. thats only reason i got it. i hate pulling up to tie off and thise frickers laying there on the limb

I always had better luck with wmr out of a revolver than rat shot for snakes.. but I've seen some pretty mean snakes
