If you like post apocalypse scenarios, being underground, suffocation, mutants attacking you, russian accents, and ghosts haunting you... Pick this up!
sniper rifles, ars, subs, shotguns and pistols are everywhere , at least

This game is so scary.
Sound effects make me jump.
The great feeling of hearing a mutant right behind you...ahhh

So, i bought the silenced revolver with the extended barrel and optics.
Feelin like a boss, im snipin fools left and right. Why the frick is there a war going on underground between soviets and nazis?
So i finally get to the nazi front lines after a 30 minute firefight where im tossin grenades and trying to avoid that fricking mounted turret (chapter4)
kill all Nazis up top. for some reason i have the bright idea to go down a level to look for currency.
Charge an a-hole with my automatic shotgun and FALL OFF THE rafters into the radiation
got to do it all over again. frickin unforgiving.
current loadout is the tricked out revolver, stock assault rifle, and automatic shotgun
How many Chapters is metro 2033? im in Ch4 .. "war"

Wait until you get the final assault rifle. There are 7 chapters.

Stealth is your friend, always. Knives and silenced weapons for humans whenever possible, turn off all the lights, etc. I only break out the shotgun for mutants and never use the AK, always go for the VSV until you get access to the Kalash at the end.
And you can actually beat that level without killing anyone, it's a Steam Achievement I think. Stealth, become friends with it.

Thanks yall
How the hell would you get thru that level without killing anyone?? Both the soviets and Nazis immediately shoot on sight
I guess pneumatic weapons are quiet?

Pneumatic weapons are quiet, but I never liked using them really.
And as for not killing anyone, I was referring to the mission Frontline which is part of the Ch.4 level "War." But yeah, don't try to complete the entire chapter without killing anyone.

yeah, Frontline. not the whole chapter lol.
i dont see how id get thru without killin someone. Theres a frickin war going on?? I was too anxious to try out my new revolver anyways..haha
Btw, the Anomoly wiping out all the mutants was badass. All these ghosts, mutants, anomolies and shite.. cant imagine why every human wants to kill each oher too. some evil shite going on down there

You're not listening to Khan...the Anomaly, the ghosts, even the mutants aren't necessarily evil...
Oh, and did you know that there are two different endings to the game?
Posted on 4/18/13 at 11:31 am to Tom288
I think 99% of the people who beat Metro got the "bad" ending.

I have tried to do the good ending but can't figure out where I am choosing wrong. Guess I will have to google it.

Potential Spoilers
During different actions throughout the game you may experience sudden flashes of light, these indicate good moral decisions. I think you have to have a certain number of them to be able to access the good ending, but you could always look it up. Here's a guide on the possible moral points you can accumulate and how to get the "good" ending:
Metro 2033 Alternate Ending Guide
If you accumulate enough moral points you can destroy the guidance system and prevent the destruction of the Dark Ones who apparently want peace with mankind. But the 2nd novel, and game, assume that you took the "Ranger" path and destroyed the Dark Ones, so the alternate ending isn't really relevant as the sequel assumes you destroyed the Dark Ones.

Wow that's badass. I was wondering what the heck the flashes of light were
seems the moral choices aren't spoon fed like a rpg in a dialog box. You just make em on the fly. I like
Thanks for the spoiler alert but since the game is 3 years old im not worried about being spoiled
Obviously Last Light will be different.

Being moral is for IRL bro, I'm usually a sociopath if the game gives me an option. frick those dark ones and frick those librarians too.
