Bitch face Florio is reporting:

Was hoping that all of this had ran its course. The Saints really don't need a potential distraction of this caliber again.

Three years ago, the Saints’ Super Bowl afterglow became interrupted by a lawsuit from a disgruntled former employee, who claimed that the team’s Vicodin stash was being abused by at least one member of the coaching staff.
The ability of the Saints to force former director of security Geoff Santini’s case into arbitration pushed the case out of the public eye, causing most to forget about it and those who didn’t to wonder if anything would ever come of it. (Santini and the Saints eventually settled the claims.)
An extensive Washington Post article from Sally Jenkins and Rick Maese regarding drug use by football teams mentions that federal authorities “are weighing a hefty fine against the Saints” for failure to properly store, control, and dispense prescription medication. Three years after the fact, the DEA investigation has been completed. Prosecutors in Louisiana are assessing the case.
The evidence includes video of assistant head coach/linebackers coach Joe Vitt removing painkillers from a drug cabinet at the team’s facility.
As explained in the report, most teams now use an outside company to deliver prescription medication and to maintain detailed logs of the drugs that are dispensed.

That sneaky Joe Vitt is at it again!

We sure seem to have a lot of disgruntled former employees.

I think it would be nothing more than another bad PR hit. I don't think Goodell wants to reopen an old wound.

I definitely thought this had gone away

At least it wasn't CSP on the video. We can make due with any other coach's absence.

Yeah but wasn't he the one reportedly taking the stuff?

I believe so, but the video evidence would be far more damning than word against word.

Jesus I feel like we have to deal with some shite like this every 2 months. Where is that Britney Spears YouTube guy when you need him "leave Payton alone!!!!!"

Football is so fricking stupid now.
Who gives a shite about this.
And why should it affect the team?
If the DEA makes an arrest, well ok, other than that this shouldn't even be news.
If there is one sanction from the nfl from this anything more than a small fine I'll kill Goodell myself

I'm just ready for all of the bull shite to die. It's unnecessary, it's played out. Goodell has done enough damage.

Goodell won't do anything.
We'll get a fine and then nothing.
