Why do "famous" Sunday hole locations at the Masters change occasionally??

They keep talking about the famous front left hole location on 18 Sunday at the Masters, and for most if my life I k ow that is the location, however in 1986 it was back center on Sunday. And the placement at 16 used to be back right on Sunday. ....

The BBC announcer said that the 18th front left pin placement was decided so more patrons can see the final putts

But even before 86 they used that front pin. Seems like in 86 they changed it for some reason

They change them sometimes to make scoring easier or harder.

i think #6 changed. i remember it being front left on sunday.
