If Tiger doesn't hit the pin during the second round, does he win?

The pin cost him a stroke and the rule infraction cost him two shots and he finished about three shots off the leader. I say he would have won in a playoff.

No, he's not the same guy. I'm sure it would be a bit more likely, but the idea that it "cost" him the win is dumb. If he got it today on 15, maybe.

Depends if you use a similar "if......" for other players.

His chances would increase greatly. You take the faulty two stroke penalty away and he probably wins.

But he did. I'm almost willing to concede the 2 stroke penalty since that decision had little to do with him, but his own swing had him hit the pin and bounce into the water.
