How do I pick a favorite team?

I'm talking about EPL/Bundesliga/etc, since MLS isn't that great. Does everyone have a favorite Euro team or what? I liked Chelsea when I started playing FIFA, and I very nearly studied abroad in Birmingham, so I was looking at Villa.
So how should I pick a favorite Euro team?

Villa's really close to being relegated fwiw. Not exactly the best way to start keeping up with a team

True.
I am moving back to Florida in a few weeks, and I understand that Orlando and Miami are possible expansion sites for MLS teams. Which is more likely?

Tough to say. MLS has failed in Miami before, but it sounds like league management really want to be there. Orlando has a team, Orlando City (NASL?), so that's a start.
As far as picking a team to follow, EPL, Bundesliga, Serie A
- the best thing to do is to read up on each through Wikipedia to start. Learn some of the history of the teams and see if anything draws you to a few teams. Then, ultimately, watch as many games as you can. Something about a team is sure to grab you in: logos, uniforms, fans, stadium, playing style, players.

Don't be that guy. At least give the league a chance.

Get Fox Soccer Channel if you don't already have it and just try to watch it every weekend over a season.

Watch as many games as possible... You will find a favorite

And go by wiki. Learn a bit about the teams and see what style of play you like best.
But Chelsea

I agree with this. I watch more MLS than euro-soccer now.

If you have no friends pick Liverpool. I hear all their fans are douche bags.

Give us a short bio on you (Ancestry, religion, job, etc.).

Pull for Tottenham Hotspur. They are near the top, but you won't be a bandwagoner because we always choke. It's like pulling for the Red Sox BEFORE the World Series. This summer, we will lose Bale and barely miss out on the champions league. Perfect time to join.

I believe there are a few liverpool bars in Tampa. Tampa also has a shot at picking up an expansion team.

First, you should become a supporter of Orlando City. They will be in the MLS within the next three years.
Chelsea has no soul. If you have no soul either, then you will be fine as a Chelsea supporter.
It takes a lot of soul to be a Villa supporter. Fortitude, heartbreak, and a lot of gamesmanship is required.
I became a fan of Everton because of Tim Howard, Landon Donovan, the fact that the club and its supporters took those guys to the bosom, consistent quality play and teamwork, the fact that Everton players don't dive, loyal and first class supporters, the fact that they are the underdog to the bigger boys, the fantastic match environment, and the fact that, as previously verified, Liverpool is a club associated with douchebaggery.
How Could You Not Like Them?

find a team which you enjoy watching and pray that the chairman doesn't suddenly begin spending 80k a week on goldfish (the actual fish, not the tasty kid snack, which would be slightly more acceptable IMHO)
