Spoilers below:
quote:
Episode 3.06 – The Climb
Tywin plans strategic unions for the Lannisters. Melisandre pays a visit to the Riverlands. Robb weighs a compromise to repair his alliance with House Frey. Roose Bolton decides what to do with Jaime Lannister. Jon, Ygritte and the Wildlings face a daunting climb. (Written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss; directed by Alik Sakharov.)
Episode 3.07 – The Bear and the Maiden Fair
Dany exchanges gifts with a slave lord outside of Yunkai. As Sansa frets about her prospects, Shae chafes at Tyrion’s new situation. Tywin counsels the king, and Melisandre reveals a secret to Gendry. Brienne faces a formidable foe in Harrenhal. (Written by George R. R. Martin; directed by Michelle MacLaren.)
Episode 3.08 – Second Sons
King’s Landing hosts a wedding, and Tyrion and Sansa spend the night together. Dany meets the Titan’s Bastard. Davos demands proof from Melisandre. Sam and Gilly meet an older gentleman. (Written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss; directed by Michelle MacLaren.)
Ours is the Fury: It was clear from the trailers that Melisandre would be meeting with Robert’s bastard and the Brotherhood, but it sounds like Gendry may actually become aware of his royal parentage, unless the summary is misleading. “Older gentleman” is an interesting way of describing Coldhands, but not inaccurate, I’d say.

This must be right after Jon eats her out in a cave.

But it is GoT so two minutes in Ser Gregor rides in the shot, cuts off her head then goes to town.

So is taking the place of the other bastard? I don't remember them ever meeting.

Prepare for major departures from the book.

Book talk again.
Yes, they meet Edric Storm. King's blood, bruh.

Yeah Gendry is taking Edric's place it seems. I have no problem with that.
Posted on 4/12/13 at 10:03 am to fouldeliverer
Saves screen time introducing Edric. The viewer already knows who Gendry is.

Exactly, keep it simple. Smart decision.

You know nothing.
IMO D&D have done a really good job staying with the books in a TV adaptation. Most books that get adapted in name only then get totally bastardized.

I agree. Not word for word with the book but the changes have been necessary and hasn't completely veered off course.

There were a few interviews leading up to the season that said as much so no one should be all that surprised. It almost has to happen when we're talking volume of characters, popular actors/actress screen times and commitments, budget, etc.
Personally I enjoy it. Not having everything straight from the page keeps it plenty interesting and intriguing.

Me too. They are sticking to the main storylines, but some of the deviations haven't hurt the show at all. Case in point....Arya and Tywin. Beautifully shot and acted scenes.
