Twine
talk about another place that sounds good on premise, but fails miserablly to deliver
although the spiced chocolate cake is awesome

The food at Oyster Bar is so overrated IMO. Great place for drinks.

Did you know that was originally a KFC? Byrd HS also had a porn theater next door in the 80s. Can't remember the name of it but it's now either a laundry place or a health food store.

Goldenland Superior? They used to be in the strip next to Sam's (where Sumo Super Buffet is now). We got it when they first opened and the sushi was very good, and pretty cheap, but with the plethora of sushi places in that area, we always forgot about going back. Big chunks of tuna in the tuna rolls. Not the cheap, chopped version. But this was a couple of years ago.

let's also get some Mr. Jim's
The new Southern Classic on Mansfield Rd is legit as well.

Superior
Do not eat a steak there. You get charged Prime prices for much-less-than-Prime quality steaks. Everything else on the menu is OK.
ETA: That place (Superior) has really gone downhill since the original chef left for 2Johns.

If they make a margarita by my recipe (2 parts tequila, 1 part Cointreau, 1 part lime juice), there's 10 ounces of tequila and 5 ounces of Cointreau in a 20 oz. drink. Worth much more than $13!

Taqueria La Michoacana
Do they still cook the tacos in the trailer after you order inside? It's been a while but the setup was a little weird but they had the best pozole (only served on Saturdays) in town.
As far as Stir tapas, I do agree that it aint the greatest but where else in 318 can you get decent tapas??
