Hi, Last year I owned a small business in January and a couple days into February (a restaurant I owned from February 2011-2012). I filed my taxes through my dad's cpa. Last 6 months were in the negative. So I have to file taxes for the month of January and February along with my W-2 from my current job, Should I pay hr block or a cpa to file that? Or should I just try to turbo tax it right now? The CPA that filed a 1040 and schedule C. Should i pay someone or attempt to do it myself? I don't want to get audited if I mess it up. Please help. Thanks in advance

I do them for a living and I suggest you use the accountant again. He'll love the fact that you waited til April 9th to start too! ??

Can you file that for free online? I've done my taxes and had my Dad's CPA look over it

You should definitely use an accountant. There may be issues related to closing the business that you are not aware of that carry forward from your 2011 return that need to be reported in 2012. TurboTax may not catch all of them if you answer one of its questions incorrectly, and some of the interview questions are confusing, or they require some knowledge of tax laws.
