So despite a big offseason the Lakers may not make the playoffs.

Sucks for everyone involved and all of you Laker fans, but with aging players and a superstar's contract expiring, what will happen this upcoming offseason for the Lakers?

Kobe is likely to be back, but next season may be his last.

Will Nash retire, or finish out the contract after an injury filled year?

Will Dwight leave in FA, or stay to be the future of the Lakers?

Will Gasol be shopped for better pieces, potentially to build around Dwight?

Resign Dwight is #1. He and Kobe seem to be getting along lately. Continued development of Earl Clark. Jordan Hill returns. Mwp does whatever mwp does. Gasol is traded. Nash devolves into a shooting guard and we continue to suck at the pg position I guess. Oh yeah forgot Dantoni is fired.

This would have to rank #1 as the biggest disappointment in American Sports history, right?

They were, what, at worst the 3rd best favorite to win it all before the season started?

In the NFL, teams expected to be good miss the playoffs due to the small sample size in the season, but in basketball, that NEVER happens.

I definitely hope they make it though. I'd much prefer seeing them play the OKC or SA in round 1 than utah.

artest will back out of his option and sign a 3 year 12m deal, which will save them money and the amesty

pau will either get traded or amnestied
