I don't know guys, I really like the grounds crew writing 31 in the dirt. Thats something that can be handed down forever in LSU baseball to each grounds crew that takes care of the field. Something about your number written in the dirt just seems like a more fitting baseball tribute to a player.

Great family, I've talked with his dad at many away LSU baseball games a few years ago. Very nice guy!

Ditto this. Has much more meaning. I never met him, but having watched him play, I could imagine Wally would much rather this than something more "formal"
