TB down 1 in the 9th with a runner on 1st. 3-2 count on Zobrist and Nathan throws a curve in the dirt that the umpire called a strike. Nathan was pissed that he walked the guy til the realized it was called a strike. The ump didn't know what the hell to say, like he had a brain freeze

I'm a Rays fan and that sucks.
But no, I wasn't watching.

All Maddon could yell was "no!"

That very well may have been the worst called strike I have ever seen

The Joe Nathan reaction shot was great. Also enjoyed the Rangers PBP guy going to the "pitch track" and it showing the ball about half a foot low and away and saying "looks like it was near the outside corener"

fricking awful. That ump should be fired tonight.

Terrible call, and I'm a Rangers fan.

Not only was it low, it was away.

holy fricking shite. so Longo would've come up with the winning run on base
Posted on 4/8/13 at 10:31 pm to maclauer
Longo would have gone up with the go ahead runs on base.

That ump just really wanted to be the home plate ump for Joe Nathan's 300th save

Looks to me like it was pretty damn close when it crossed the plate, not where the catcher caught it

That was not close.
At all.
At all.

It was bad. Even Nathan reacted by saying 'wow'.
