I started it not long ago and am already caught up. I was like you and was sooooo confused. You get the hang of it quickly. The first season, in my opinion, sorta sucked...but it was necessary. It does a good job of introducing everyone and leads it in a certain direction. It basically has to be overwhelming because of that. They do a good job of reminding you even through the second season about things. Just watch and try to listen best you can, the more episodes you watch the clearer it becomes. And just so you know, the second season is absolutely
Hope this helps you at all

I actually preferred the first season. The show kind of lost me in the second with everything they changed. So much so that I'm not even bothering with the third season.

So far it's a great show, only on ep 3 though

After the first season I just didn't think anything good would every happen. Second season nothing good really happened but it was very entertaining. 1 episode into Season 3 and I can't wait for Sundays now

Well you are already missing out, as season 3 is based on arguably the best book of the entire series (storm of swords).
And the 1st episode of season 3 has already set up some pretty major stuff about to happen...

If you're on episode 3 then don't worry. Unless you're a complete moron you'll catch on.
But I will say, start reading the books. You can get the first four for $25 from amazon. I got them last Tuesday and I'm already 80 pages in on the second book. Btw actual retail price of the collection that I got was 37.99 so it's a steal.
