Do you have a personal preference?

Hammered, single action, cocked and locked

Hammerless. Won't snag on shite.

Pretty much useless any other way

Hammer less. Not because I'm worried about snagging, but generally striker-fired guns weigh less than hammer-fired ones. If I'm carrying it around all day, it needs to be lightweight.

Wife has a S&W airweight. It's hammerless and light. Bout as good as you can get for a CC revolver.

What'd you say lefty? I didn't hear you

All of my serious guns are hammerless.
I also drive modern trucks to get shite done. They haul more, better MPG, and are reliable. I drive the classics on the weekends when I am goofing around and can take my time.

I like the ability to manually cock the hammer for Home Defense. I have a Sig 2022 and love it. I guess it's like using the pump on your shotgun. Love the noise effect. It can scare an intruder without firing a round.

Seriously though, hope I never have to shoot another human being, but I wouldn't hesitate when it comes to protecting my family.

I have a hammer on my HD beretta but enjoy it for different reasons.
I like being able to pull the hammer back to go SA. I would never use it as an intimidation tool.
It stays chambered just like my 870. I pick it up and it's good to go. No need to rack.
You've seen my shotgun video right?

What's the difference in this and just leaving the safety off and carrying uncocked? I mean its the flick of a thumb either way, right?

Cocked and Locked is Single Action, which means a light trigger pull. An uncocked hammer will be Double Action and a heavier pull.
