Self explanatory title. I've got a friend and the squirrels are destroying her house. Can I go pop them with an air rifle? Isn't spring season starting May 5th?

No, you can trap them. I called LDWF guy told me as long as your neighbors don't mind you should be okay popping them with the pellet gun.

It ain't illegal unless you get caught.

Air rifles are legal in the city right? I need a good one, swing how I only have a bb gun from when I was a kid.

Never understood this. I understand if they are destroying your house, but to kill them just to keep them out of your yard is unfathomable to me.

RWS or Gamo
I have an RWS and I can shoot a blackbird in the eye at 30yds. I have a 3-9x40 scope on it.

Buddy let me borrow with Walthers with a Leupold scope, slinging comp. grade pellets at 1250fps. Damn thing had recoil, but I was killing coons and tree rats in the top of big red oaks.

I'm looking at Academy's website at the Gamo big cat .177 that shoots lead at 1000fps for $129, then they have the Whisper cat for $149 with the attached silencer? Is the silencer worth the extra money?

I like to watch them play in the yard. They keep me entertained.
There's plenty of squirrels on the lease, i like to keep the ones in my yard around. I'll even toss em some feed sometimes.

Sounds like a gimmick.
I have a 40+ year old benjamin .22 cal my dad got when he was 8 and handed down to me about the same age.

This.
The yard squirrels have it made. Winn and Jackson Parish squirrels are on a death watch however.

My roommate and I have squirrel shooting contests. How does this make you feel?

I'm leaning toward the big cat, it has better reviews and is a little cheaper.
