That's my point, it's not journalism or sports reporting. It's selective reporting for the purposes of sensationalizing it so casual fans can be attracted to watch because of the controversial nature of it. A sports media company should have not have a bearing on who gets fired whatsoever.

Yes. Entertainment companies that own TV channels want to maximize eyeballs in order to maximize ad revenue.
But most entertainment companies don't tell everyone everyday that they are actually a news organization.

Who cares if innocent men get stomped on and have their careers destroyed in the process? I guess more specifically, the AD in this case.
